- Avoid blood thinning medications such as, aspirin, ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, Ginko Biloba, Garlic supplements, Green Tea, vitamin A, vitamin E, fish oil, St. John’s Wart and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory products one week prior to treatment to help decrease bruising.
- You may take Arnica 2-3 days before treatment to reduce bruising.
- Avoid alcohol 24 hours before treatment to reduce bruising.
- You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Post Care Instructions

- Follow the 5x5x5 protocol. Massage the treated areas with firm pressure for five minutes, five times a day for five days.
- It is normal to have localized swelling and redness at injection site immediately after treatment. Swelling from Sculptra can last up to 3-4 days.
- With any injection there is always the possibility of bruising. Arnica cream can be applied after injections to help bruising heal faster.
- Avoid makeup for 24 hours after treatment.
- Avoid any strenuous activity (cardio, heavy lifting, yoga, etc.) for 24 hours after treatment.
- Avoid hot tubs and saunas for 24 hours after treatment.
We strongly recommend medical grade products for your daily skin care regimen to help with overall skincare goals.

Typically, patients need a series of treatments every 4 weeks, individual results may vary.
What is the recovery time?
Right after the procedure, patients may return to their daily routines, however, it is not advisable to immediately resume intense physical activity. There may be swelling or bruising around the area.
When will I see my results?
As soon as the injection process is complete, the added shape and curvature of the buttocks are visible. Although beautiful results may be achieved in just a few injections, the best results are typically performed with several injections spaced over several sessions.
How long will my results last?
Results may last up to 18 to 24 months, individual results may vary.
