Step 1: Consultation

You will meet with one of our highly skilled aestheticians to discuss the benefits of Genius Radio Frequency Microneedling and get your questions answered.

This initial consultation ensures we tailor your RF microneedling treatment to your unique skin needs, aiming for the best possible outcomes tailored to your cosmetic goals.

Step 2: Treatment Planning

You will get an RF microneedling treatment plan created just for you. A typical plan will include at least three initial treatments spaced about four to six weeks apart.

This personalized approach ensures that each RF microneedling session targets your specific concerns, maximizing the effectiveness of the treatment. With progressively spaced appointments, your skin has ample time to respond and rejuvenate, leading to visible, long-lasting results.

Step 3: Treatment

The Genius Radio Frequency Microneedling appointment is anywhere from 30 minutes to longer.  A topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment on the skin for 1 hour.  Following the treatment, your skin will look a little red, and there may be minimal bruising. The skin may be dry 1-2 days after treatment and sloughs off in 3-5 days.

After an RF microneedling treatment, patients typically notice a significant improvement in their skin’s texture and tone. The full benefits of Genius® RF Microneedling, including firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin, become increasingly apparent over the next few weeks as collagen production is stimulated, revealing a rejuvenated complexion.

Step 4: Follow up 

Your aesthetician will schedule a follow-up appointment to evaluate your progress and/or perform another RF microneedling treatment.

This critical step ensures that your skincare goals are met with personalized care and adjustments as needed, optimizing your path to radiant, healthy skin.

Pre Care Instructions

• • Prep your skin with medical-grade skincare recommended by your provider 
  • If you are instructed, begin use of a pigment controller (i.e., hydroquinone) before your treatment and continue use up until the treatment day 
  • If you have ever had a cold sore (Herpes simplex 1) or shingles, please notify your provider, and you will receive a prescription for an oral antiviral medication. 
  • Tylenol can be taken before the procedure to help with discomfort. 
  • Injectables must be done 4 weeks before the procedure. 

Post Care Instructions

• • Continue taking any prescribed medications as directed by your provider. 
  • Day 1 (day of the procedure): Use an occlusive medical-grade moisturizer 
  • Day 2-7: cleanse your skin with a medical-grade, gentle cleanser and moisturize as often as needed with a medical-grade moisturizer. 
  • Day 3 begins the use of abroad-spectrum SPF 30 in the morning 
  • Avoid excessive exfoliation and significant exposure to the sun for at least 2 weeks post-treatment 
  • You may begin use of your pigment controllers and Retin-A 2 weeks post-procedure. 
  • We recommend a facial 6 weeks post-treatment to help with hydration and exfoliation  
  • Injectables can be done 4 weeks post-treatment 

What To Expect Before RF Microneedling

Before your microneedling session, you’ll have a consultation with one of our expert aestheticians who will explore your treatment objectives and answer any questions. A customized treatment strategy will be designed just for you.

To reduce the potential for bleeding or bruising, stay out of the sun and products containing retinol or exfoliants for several days, and avoid specific supplements, alcohol, and aspirin.

What To Expect During RF Microneedling

Your practitioner will tailor the microneedle configurations and energy levels to meet your treatment objectives.

In an RF Microneedling session, the specialist uses a device equipped with fine needles, systematically gliding it over your skin. This action creates minute punctures on the skin’s surface. These microneedles are designed to penetrate the deeper layers of your skin, targeting areas where collagen and elastin are placed. Simultaneously, radiofrequency energy heats the skin from within, encouraging collagen and elastin production.

What To Expect After RF Microneedling

Warmth, redness, swelling, minor pinpoint bleeding, and a small degree of discomfort after your treatment are typical. It’s also not uncommon to notice some slight bruising. Should you encounter any general discomfort following your treatment, taking an over-the-counter pain medication like Tylenol is advisable. Each treatment is tailored to ensure smoother, firmer outcomes, enhancing safety and efficacy.
