Pre-Care Treatment

Medications and Supplements to Avoid Before Your Procedure

To ensure optimal results and reduce the risk of bruising, swelling, or complications, please follow these pre-treatment guidelines before your Ariessence® Pure PDGF+ treatment or any skin rejuvenation or hair restoration procedure at Skin Rejuvenation Clinic in Edina, MN:

NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs)

Avoid medications like Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Advil, Aleve, and Motrin at least 5–7 days prior to treatment. These can interfere with platelet function and reduce the effectiveness of regenerative procedures. We also recommend avoiding them for several weeks after treatment to support optimal healing.

Natural Anti-Inflammatory Supplements

Please discontinue supplements such as turmeric, curcumin, arnica, and ginkgo biloba before and after treatment, as these may affect platelet activity and increase the chance of bruising.

Prescription Blood Thinners

If you are taking anticoagulants such as Coumadin, Eliquis, Xarelto, Plavix, or Pradaxa, speak with your prescribing physician or cardiologist for clearance before discontinuing any medication.

Vitamins

Stop taking Vitamins A, D, and E at least 5 days before your scheduled procedure.

Additional Supplements

Avoid garlic, fish oil, omega-3s, flaxseed oil, and horse chestnut seed extract, as these can also contribute to increased bleeding risk.

Post-Care Treatment

Immediate Aftercare (First 24–48 Hours)

To support proper healing and maximize the results of your Ariessence® Pure PDGF+ treatment, please follow these guidelines in the first 1–2 days:

• Protect the Area: Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated site.

• Take It Easy: Refrain from intense exercise, saunas, hot tubs, or any activity that causes excessive sweating.

• Keep It Clean: Do not apply makeup, skincare products, or lotions for 24 hours. Gently cleanse the area with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser.

• Reduce Swelling: Apply a cold compress (wrapped in a clean cloth) for 15–20 minutes every few hours to soothe swelling or discomfort.

• Avoid NSAIDs: Skip aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen for at least 48 hours unless otherwise directed. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is safe to use if needed for pain.

Ongoing Care (Days & Weeks After Treatment)

Proper post-procedure care will enhance results and minimize side effects following your skin rejuvenation or hair restoration treatment at our Edina, MN clinic:

• Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun exposure and apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily.

• Stay Hydrated & Nourished: Drink plenty of water and follow a nutrient-rich diet to promote healing and cell regeneration.

• Resume Skincare Gradually: Wait 5–7 days before returning to your regular skincare routine. Avoid retinoids, scrubs, and harsh exfoliants for 10–14 days post-treatment.

• Avoid Alcohol & Smoking: These can slow down your body’s natural healing—avoid both for a few days.

• Follow-Up Appointments: Keep all scheduled follow-ups at Skin Rejuvenation Clinic to monitor your progress and adjust your ongoing treatment plan if needed.
