Cellulite is an extremely common and embarrassing condition where the skin may appear unsightly, bumpy, pitted, and uneven. It is sometimes called orange-peel skin, cottage-cheese skin, or hail damage. Women are more predisposed to this condition than men. (Up to 70-80% of women have cellulite.) Heredity and other factors also play a role. Here at Skin Rejuvenation Clinic, conveniently located in Edina, we routinely help our clients eliminate or dramatically improve the appearance of their dimpled skin, restoring a smooth and beautiful contour.

Step 2: Treatment Planning
Based on our conversation, we’ll create a tailored treatment just for you.
Step 3: Treatment
- During your treatment, we will keep you comfortable with an assistant in the room while Dr. Mark performs your procedure.
- The area to be treated will be gently numbed using a local anesthetic.
- During the CelluSmooth procedure, our physician will pass a small laser fiber through the problem area, which cuts the fibrous bands that cause cellulite.
- Our CelluSmooth laser then eliminates the uneven layer of fat just beneath the skin, providing a smoothing effect to the fat layer below and tightening the skin above.
Step 4: Follow up
We will schedule follow-up recheck treatments.

Changes in the underlying structures of the skin cause cellulite as we age, lose or gain weight. The dimples are caused by restricting fibrous bands. The bumps are fat pockets protruding around the dimples.

Is CelluSmooth uncomfortable?
There is typically mild discomfort during the numbing process. The procedure is typically painless. Afterward, there is often soreness that can last a few weeks.
Is there scarring?
Two or three tiny incisions (approximately 2-3mm) are typically created for each area, with time these sites are typically almost unnoticeable.
Is there downtime?
CelluSmooth requires little to no downtime. If there is downtime, it’s just a few days of minimal bruising, swelling, or discomfort.
When will I start to see results?
Some patients see results almost immediately. Others see results as soon as one month after treatment. The areas will continue to improve for 6 to 12 months or longer.
Can CelluSmooth be combined with Allura ProLipo laser liposuction?
Yes.
How many sessions are required per area?
Only one.
What do I do for aftercare?
You will wear a compression garment which (we will give you) for about 10 days.
