For our ClearV vascular laser treatment, we use the infrared 1064 Nd:YAG laser to heat and destroy unwanted broken blood vessels. While cooling the surface of the skin, it gently delivers heat to these vessels and capillaries, causing them to collapse, reabsorb, then disappear, leaving you with beautiful skin.

Is there any downtime?
Most of the time there is no downtime. Occasionally, when vessels are closed down, they may look darker for 4 to 5 days before disappearing.
What are the potential side effects?
Possible mild bruising ( significant bruising is unlikely). The mild pinching sensations of the injections resolve immediately. You may appear to have small little “mosquito bites” for 5-10 minutes after treatment. Rarely, the eyebrows may feel heavy and there is a very small risk of getting a temporary eye lid droop.
Can you wear makeup after the treatment?
Yes.
How many treatments will I need?
One to three. Often a series of three treatments spaced four to eight weeks apart is recommended, especially for leg vessels. However, after one treatment many of the abnormal vessels will disappear.
Does this treatment hurt?
There is minor discomfort with the treatment. However, if there is a large area of vessels on the legs, it may get more uncomfortable. We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) if needed.
