Step 2: Treatment Planning
Based on our analysis of your skin and acne history, we will create a customized treatment plan to help you on your way to clear, radiant skin!
Step 3: Treatment
Forever Clear is a comfortable three-step treatment that takes as little as 30 minutes depending on the area treated. We applied topical anesthetic to your skin for 15 to 20 minutes. You may feel a quick, warm sensation as the targeted areas absorb the light.
Step 1: Skin is first treated with a Blue BBL light to eliminate acne-causing bacteria at its source, deep down in the pores. This can even treat upcoming breakouts before they emerge!
Step 2: Skin is then treated with Yellow BBL light to reduce inflammation and acne-associated redness to give you healthy, luminous skin.
Step 3: We then treat your skin with Infrared light in gentle pulses to initiate the body’s natural healing process, jumpstarting collagen production to heal acne lesions and scars.
There is usually only mild discomfort, typically no downtime, and most return to work the same day. You may apply makeup immediately after the treatment.
Step 4: Follow up
Follow-up treatments will be scheduled as recommended by your provider.

Pre Care Instructions

- Prep your skin with medical grade skincare recommended from your provider
- If you are instructed, begin use of a pigment controller (i.e. hydroquinone) before your treatment and continue use up until the treatment day
- If you have ever had a cold sore (Herpes simplex 1) or shingles, please notify your provider and you will receive a prescription for an oral antiviral medication.
- Tylenol can be taken before the procedure to help with discomfort.
- Avoid significant sun exposure at least 2 weeks before the procedure

Can I apply make-up after this treatment?
Most patients can wear makeup and resume normal activities immediately. If you have open acne sores, you should refrain from using makeup on them.
How many sessions will I need?
We recommend a series of three treatments two weeks apart to get optimal results. However, maintenance visits may be recommended to keep your skin healthy and clear.

When will I see results?
You will notice some immediate relief from acne while full results present themselves in the weeks and months following your series of treatments. Your skin will look clear, and pores will be less noticeable. Your provider will also give you an home care plan to follow that will involve avoiding sun exposure, using sunscreen, and high-quality skincare products to keep your skin healthy!
